Went walking along the levee in the fog this morning with my friend Alison. The fog was so thick, we couldn't even see the river, and so wet, water was running off my hair in droplets! Big wind and rain storm last few days - knocked over the basil and geraniums, and saturated the soil so everything is spongy. The spiders have come indoors to dry out, and even though it's not really cold, the fire was quite cheerful in the fireplace!
